Imagine a site that donates grains of rice for all your correct answers!
FREE RICE is that site! Every correct response generates 10 grains of rice for the World Food Programme. Any age group will enjoy taking the quizzes to see just how much they remember:) Students will not only test their skills, but be motivated to do their best since their right answers will feed the hungry.
The subjects you may test yourself on (or your students) are the following: English, Art, Geography, Chemistry, Math, and Foreign Languages (French, German, Spanish, and Italian). There is basically something for every content area--what is there not to love about this:)
One bonus feature of the program is that if you make a mistake, the program not only gives you the correct answer, but retests you on the items you did not originally get (and you earn 10 grains of rice for each correct answer). Why not create classroom competitions to see which group earns the most points? Students love competitive games and here they are not only having fun, but reviewing material that you taught them.
If you plan on having students use this site, encourage them to sign up. Students will need an email address and permission from their parents if they are under 14. The advantage to signing up is that the site will keep track of their points (grains of rice).
